wrapping limbs around limbs
and threading arms under shoulders
twisted up, tangled, breathing through
comfortable discomfort
muscle tension giving way
to the stretch, joints popping
opening wider
Release, just as the pain threatens
to become too much as my body
eases into the movement
untwisting, untangling,
muscles pliable and loose.
Yet.
mind and heart, still twisted up.
