Just one more — National Poetry Month Day 12

It’s always just one more thing, isn’t it?

Just one more snooze cycle on the alarm clock.

Just one more cup of coffee.

(More like one more pot of coffee)

One more paper to write.

One more shift to work.

One more meal to cook

One more shirt to fold and put away.

One more bill. One more worry. One more complaint.

One more crisis. One more heartbreak.

One more thing I just don’t want to deal with right now.

One more beautiful sunset. One more moonrise.

One more swim in the pool.

One more run, one more yoga class, one more glass of wine with friends.

One more goodbye. One more embrace.

One more bitter and sweet moment.

There’s never just one one more, it seems.
