I was so happy with, and exhilarated by, my first go at academic writing month that I decided to give it another try in December.
Turns out, I should have given myself some time off, because I haven’t really done much of anything yet, except grade all the final projects and exams from my students, and attend a bunch of end-of-semester meetings and social functions and take a mini-vacation to Dallas to see the Jackson Pollock “Blind Spots” exhibit (totally worth it, by the way. I cried.).
But, yesterday I reviewed the introduction and first chapter for my dissertation that I drafted in November, and it didn’t seem like quite the mess I expected it to be. So, I sent the chapters off to my dissertation chair, and today I’m sitting down to work on Chapter 2.
So we’ll see how this goes.
